°Ingredients :

°1 small onion, sliced
°8 oz  mushrooms
°1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
°1 pound sirloin steak, cut into strips with excess fat trimmed
°Salt and pepper
°¼ cup dry red wine + drop for deglazing
°2-½ cups fat-free beef broth
°2 tbsp. cornstarch + ¼ C cold water, whisk

* Steps  :

Placing onions also mushrooms in bottom of 4.5 L slow cooker.
Then heat oil in skillet on medium-high heat. Generously salt and pepper the steak strips and add them to the hot skillet. Sear the meat on all sides for about 3 minutes; don't let it cook.
Placing meat in slow cooker on vegetables.
Drizzle the hot pan with a few tablespoons of red wine and scrape the bottom to remove the browned pieces of meat. Add them to the slow cooker.
Season the beef a second time with pepper and add Worcestershire sauce, red wine and beef broth. Covering and cooking on low heat for 6 to 8 h .
Uncover and slowly stir in the cornstarch and water mixture. Cover and cook over high heat for another 45 minutes or until the sauce has thickened.
Serve beef tips over brown rice (shown), buttered egg noodles or mashed potatoes.
