My favorite homes are slow cooked chicken and meatballs.It's easy to toss ingredients into the multicooker, and when you return, you have a bowl of food ready to go.
* Ingredients :
° 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
° 4 tablespoons butter
° 4 cream soup cans (I used 2 cans of cream of chicken and 2 cans of cream of celery)
° 64 oz chicken broth
° 1 tablespoon garlic powder
° 1 tablespoon is better than chicken stock
° 2 tablespoons of pepper
° 3 slices parsley, crushed
° 1-2 boxes of 8 biscuits, canned
* Directions :
Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crock pot. Put butter on top. Pour cans of cream soup mixture on top. Sprinkle spices on top of this. Pour chicken broth over it.
Simmer on low heat 6-8 hours.
Remove and chop the chicken and place in the broth mixture.
Open one can canned biscuits & cut to quarters. Add it back to the chicken mixture, mix with the sauce and cook over high heat for an hour.
*Personal note - if you like soft dough dumplings, then the above is for you. If you prefer a more cooked dumpling, cook the crackers as directed on the packet and combine with the chicken mixture.
Enjoy !
