I've done this to many who have given him the title. This takes a little effort but is well worth it. Please note: For those who don't want to use bacon, substitute 1/4 cup of melted butter for the bacon fat and continue with the recipe. (I generally serve this soup as a special treat because it's not recommended for people who are counting calories.)
° 1 bag of frozen hash browns
° 32 oz can of chicken broth
° 10.5 ounce package of Cream of Chicken
° Cream cheese packet
° 5 oz real bacon chops
° 1 cup lightly grated cheddar cheese
° Salt and pepper to taste
Cook in a high saucepan for 3-4 hours or let the brown breadcrumbs thaw about 3/4 of the way up and place on the stove top in a saucepan. When using the stove, just bring to a boil and make sure all the cheese is melted and voila! Dinner is served. You can add more cheese, bacon bits, or even sour cream for garnish and add a little extra flavor. Serve with crackers if you like. 🙂
