*Ingredients:
°4-6 chicken breast
°1 c pack brown sugar
°2/3 c vinegar
°1/4 c lemon-lime soda
°2-3 tablespoons minced garlic
°2 tablespoons of soy sauce
°1 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
°2 tablespoons cornstarch
°2 tablespoons of water
°Red pepper flakes (optional)
* Directions:
Spraying slow cooker with nonstick cook spray. Place the chicken (frozen, thawed, or fresh) in the slow cooker. Mix brown sugar, vinegar, club soda, garlic, soy sauce and pepper together. Pour over the chicken. Cooking on low heat for 6 to 8 h or on high heat about 4 h.
Take the chicken pieces out of the slow cooker (mine fell apart) and pour the rest of the sauce into the pan. Place the saucepan over high heat. Combine cornstarch and water, pour into a saucepan and mix well. Bring the sauce to a boil and boil for 2-3 minutes, or until it begins to thicken and turns into a glaze. Remove from heat and let sit for a minute or two (it will continue to thicken as it cools).
Sprinkle with red pepper flakes if desired. This can be served over rice or noodles, I also like it with a baked potato on the side (it's good over potato too!)
Enjoy !
