*ingredients:

°1/2 tablespoon olive or vegetable oil
°1 package (16 ounces) kielbasa smoked sausage, cut into 1/4-inch slices
°1 tablespoon of butter
°2 carrots, peeled and finely chopped
°2 ears of corn, cut into large pieces
°1 medium sized onion, chopped
°2 minced garlic cloves
°1 small green cabbage, chopped
°1 (14.5 ounce) can chicken broth
°1 1/2 cups of water
°1 chicken stock cube
°2 medium carrots, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
°1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
°1/2 teaspoon black pepper
°1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds (optional)
°1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
°1/3 cup heavy cream

*How to make:

Heat the oil in a Dutch oven. Add sausage and cook until brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.

Add the butter to the fat in the Dutch oven and cook the carrots, onions and corn over medium heat until tender. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add the cabbage and cook and stir for a minute or two, until slightly wilted.

Add potatoes, chicken stock, water, bouillon cube and brown sugar.

Bring to a boil, cover and cook until potatoes are tender.

Add sausage, black pepper, caraway seeds, thyme and heavy cream. Bring to a boil
