°Half a teaspoon of salt
°A cup of soft butter
°1 c pineapple, crushed, drained, but reserving liquid separately
°2 large eggs
°1 cup all-purpose flour
°¼ c pineapple liquid, drained from a can of crushed pineapple
°Half a cup of sugar
°2 tablespoons of milk
°2 teaspoons baking powder
+To decorate:
°2 tablespoons pineapple liquid, strained from a can of crushed pineapple
°1 c pastry sugar
°1 teaspoon vanilla

Preheat oven 350 degrees.
Mix flour, salt and baking powder in a bowl.
Whisk the butter and sugar together in a separate bowl.
Add the eggs to the butter bowl.
Alternating mixing 1/2 cup pineapple syrup liquid and dry ingredients in bowl with butter mixture until well blended.
Mix the milk in the bowl.
Stir the crushed pineapple into the mixture and spread it evenly in a well-greased loaf pan.
Bake for 50-55 minutes.
Allow to cool for 10-15 minutes, then remove the mold onto a wire rack to cool the rest of the time.
Combine the icing ingredients and pour over the cooled cake. Allow the icing to set a little and serve.
