Ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 eggs

3/4 cup room-temperature unsalted butter

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 cup light brown sugar

1 1/2 cups coarsely chopped pretzels

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/4 cup chunky peanut butter

For topping (as desired):

1/4 cup chocolate chips

1/4 cup coarsely chopped pretzels

1/4 cup peanut butter chips

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Set aside.

3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together 3/4 cup of room-temperature unsalted butter, 1 cup of light brown sugar, and 1/2 cup of granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.

4. Add 2 large eggs and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture. Mix until well combined.

5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until a dough forms.

6. Stir in 1/4 cup of chunky peanut butter, 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips, and 1 1/2 cups of coarsely chopped pretzels into the dough until evenly distributed.

7. Press the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan.

8. Sprinkle the toppings (as desired) over batter on top.

9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.

Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.

Once cooled, lift the bars out of the pan using the parchment paper and cut into squares or bars.
